This three-piece gaiwan is a reflection of that heritage.

Each vessel begins with raw bamboo, carefully selected and aged for years. From an entire bundle of bamboo, only a small amount of ultra-fine threads can be extracted — as soft as silk, yet remarkably strong. These threads are then handwoven, strand by strand, around the porcelain body in a process that requires extraordinary patience and precision.

Recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan, this technique was once reserved for imperial use, admired not only for its beauty, but for its practicality — protecting the porcelain, insulating heat, and offering a naturally textured grip.
